Relish the Natural & Cultural Riches of Japan

Explore UNESCO-protected shrines, an Edo-inspired theme park, a sake brewery & more in Tokyo — & beyond!

About Your Trip

From the moment you step off the plane in Tokyo, the vibrant culture captivates with its rich heritage, bustling street life and scenic natural beauty. Get immersed in it all, starting with a visit to Senso-ji (also known as Asakusa Kannon Temple). Then, it’s off to Ginza, an upscale shopping, dining and entertainment district.

The following day, you’ll venture northward to the Tochigi Prefecture. At Lake Chuzenji, savor scenic views of volcanic Mt. Nantai. Then, see 2 Shinto shrines within a larger UNESCO-protected complex — Futarasan jinja, founded in the 8th century, holds a large sword collection, while Toshogu is lavish in design with wood carvings garnished with gold leaf.

After a relaxing night at a hotel with hot-spring baths, you’ll head to the Kinu Tateiwa Otsuribashi suspension bridge where you can walk across Aya River. At Edo Wonderland Nikko Edomura, relive days gone by, specifically the 17th-century Edo Period. This theme park features ninja and samurai swordsmen shows, courtesan processions, a large ninja maze, a prison and much more. Your adventure concludes at an 1880 brewery known for its sake.

What we love:
• Step into history with a visit to Senso-ji — this ancient temple is an astounding 1,300 years old.
• Kinugawa Onsen Hotel features hot-springs baths — besides being a place to socialize, they claim to offer various health benefits, including improved circulation, pain relief and mental relaxation.
• While you’re out and about, be sure to take some time to sample some of Tokyo’s finest dishes, including daiginjo (premium sake) and natto gyoza (dumplings filled with fermented soybeans).

I understand that any such request made by the hotels is outside of the control of Rovia and is strictly a hotel policy. Should I have questions concerning a hotel’s policy, I accept responsibility for contacting the hotel independent of Rovia.
